War over water is not a new phenomenon in this world. The world has seen many fatal battles fought for the occupation of water resources. Ancient history reveals that the armies fought until the water resources were occupied… It seems everywhere we look there are tons of news articles. We just can’t get away from it. Every time we go to a home page there is another news article. If you’re looking to put a number to how long you will live, there are online tools you can use that try and estimate your average longevity. If that’s not for you, you can find a more general answer in a just released longevity study report out of the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics known as the National Vital Statistics Report released in August 19, 2009 on life expectancy. Guilt causes a lot of us to do stupid things. We either give foolishly to the homeless with good intentions of helping, or we try to avoid the person in need altogether so that we don’t have to face our own consciences. It’s either that or we meet the guilt somewhere in the middle and talk to the person, but lie about the fact that we don’t have any money. In doing so, we actually do more damage than good in most cases. What people don’t realize is that the best thing you can do for someone in need is to treat him like a real person.
